The special hose valve SP P consists of the housing, the scissor part and the actuator. The elastic hose insert is compressed evenly using a scissor system. The clamping scissors are actuated by means of a pneumatic cylinder, which is supplied with control air via a 5/2-way solenoid valve.

The valve has a limit switch (normally closed contact and normally open contact) in each end position. A Herion 5/2-way solenoid valve is normally used as the control valve (control valves from other manufacturers on request). The electrical equipment can be supplied as required in any protection class and with any standard voltage.

When the valve is open, the full pipe cross-section is released. There are no interfering internals, which means low abrasion and low pressure losses. The advantage of the design is that the only wearing part is the hose, which can be replaced quickly. A further advantage is that tightness is achieved when the control and operating pressures are equal and a separate control air network can be dispensed with. The valve is closed in the event of a power failure.
